Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash was brutally murdered at his Bengaluru home. His wife, Pallavi, allegedly threw chilli powder in his face and stabbed him several times during a heated argument.
What Happened?
According to reports, Pallavi and Om Prakash got into a serious argument at their residence. During the fight, she suddenly threw chilli powder into his eyes, which left him in pain and disoriented. Taking advantage of his helplessness, she stabbed him repeatedly in the chest, abdomen, and arms. He died on the spot.
After the attack, Pallavi reportedly video-called a friend and said, “I have killed the monster.”
Probable Motive
Police believe a property dispute triggered the murder. Om Prakash had purchased land in his sister’s name, and Pallavi wanted it transferred to her. She was also upset that another property was in their son’s name. This tension had been growing for months.
Pallavi had even accused her husband in a retired IPS officers’ WhatsApp group, claiming he had threatened her with a pistol. She also publicly complained about him and once staged a protest outside their house.
