In a major update, Salman Khan replaces Big B as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 17. After leading the iconic quiz show for over a decade, Amitabh Bachchan is stepping down due to personal reasons.
Amitabh Bachchan Bids Goodbye to KBC
Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of KBC since it began in 2000, except for Season 3 which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Although a promo for KBC 17 was launched in April 2025 featuring Big B, sources now confirm that he will not continue with the new season.
Salman Khan Steps In as New Host
According to reports, Salman Khan will be the new host of KBC 17. A source stated, “Salman Khan has a massive fan following and is loved by audiences in small towns. He’s the perfect replacement for Amitabh Bachchan.”
This marks the second time Salman has replaced Big B in a TV show — the first being Bigg Boss, which he hosts successfully to this day.
