Bhuj (Gujarat), May 26, 2025:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan during a rally in Gujarat’s Bhuj, emphasizing that peace must be chosen over terrorism. Referring to the growing threat of cross-border terrorism, PM Modi said, “Roti khao, warna meri goli to hai hi” (Eat your bread and live peacefully, or my bullet is ready).
The Prime Minister’s remarks came on the same day he completed 11 years in office, using the occasion to underscore India’s rising global stature and economic strength.
India’s Economic Progress vs. Pakistan’s Decline
PM Modi highlighted India’s recent milestone of surpassing Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, contrasting it with Pakistan’s worsening economic and global position.
“I want to ask the people of Pakistan, what have you achieved? While India focuses on tourism, Pakistan treats terrorism as tourism. It has destroyed your future,” he said.
Operation Sindoor and Response to Pahalgam Attack
Modi referred to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, stating that he waited 15 days for Pakistan to take action against terrorism.
“But it seems terrorism is their bread and butter. On May 9, when Pakistan tried to target civilians, our military retaliated with double the force,” he added.
He described Operation Sindoor as a mission “to save humanity and eliminate terrorism,” and praised the military for their swift response, which included the destruction of Pakistan’s air bases.
Tribute to Soldiers and ₹50,000 Crore Projects Inaugurated
PM Modi also inaugurated development projects worth over ₹50,000 crore in Gujarat. During his visit to Vadodara, he honored the family of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, one of the female officers involved in briefing about India’s cross-border counter-terror operations.
PM Modi’s speech in Bhuj marks a significant political and strategic message—both to Pakistan and to the Indian public. His remarks indicate a continued tough stance on terrorism and underline India’s growing global influence.
