New Delhi, May 19, 2025:
Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, questioning his silence on India’s reported aircraft losses during Operation Sindoor. In a post on X, Gandhi wrote:
“EAM Jaishankar’s silence isn’t just telling, it’s damning. So I’ll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew?”
This marks a renewed attack by Rahul Gandhi on Jaishankar, raising doubts about whether Pakistan was pre-warned before India’s military strikes in Pakistan and PoK.
BJP Defends Jaishankar, Accuses Rahul of ‘Speaking Pakistan’s Language’
Responding sharply, the BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of echoing Pakistan’s stance. A party spokesperson said:
“Instead of supporting our forces, Rahul is asking questions that sound like they came from across the border. Is the Congress with India or not?”
The BJP argued that Jaishankar’s approach is aligned with national interest and that such sensitive matters must be handled with maturity.
Rahul Gandhi and Operation Sindoor Controversy
Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly claimed that India’s military action under Operation Sindoor was compromised. He suggests the Modi government may have informed Pakistan in advance, risking the safety of Indian forces.
Despite his demands, neither Jaishankar nor the Defence Ministry has issued an official clarification.
The ongoing political tension over Operation Sindoor has intensified with Rahul Gandhi’s latest criticism of Jaishankar. As the BJP continues its counterattack, the matter is likely to dominate headlines in the coming weeks.
